There are already a number of heritage related case studies in the Booster portfolio:
Power to Change Booster fund
In November 2020 we launched the ReBoost fund. This helps all types of community businesses to prepare a community share offer, to support their recovery from COVID-19.
What support is available?
- Development grants – up to £5,000 to prepare a community share offer: financial planning, governance support, marketing costs and being awarded the Community Shares Standard Mark.
- Match equity investment – typically matching pound for pound up to £25,000 invested by the Booster Programme, providing that the minimum share offer target is achieved.
To find out more, sign up to the webinar on the 13 November 2020 at 10am.
The guidance includes information about who can apply, the types of investment propositions that the fund is designed to support, as well as the criteria that will be used to assess applications. The guidance also provides information that will help you complete the application form.
Wondering about how to make your community share offer innovative? Watch our webinar from 3 July 2019 to find out more: https://register.gotowebinar.com/recording/2570744347557187592. We focus on the innovation question from minute 23. Remember, the Booster Programme is as much a research programme as a funding programme and so this is important to the assessors! We are especially interested in making community share investment and society membership more accessible to even greater proportions of the population, in terms of demographics, income levels, region etc.
Is your application linked to a community pub? If so, please apply to the More than a Pub (MTAP) Programme which is currently open for applications for communities wanting to open and run a community pub which will also deliver services for the benefit of the wider community. MTAP provides specialist support to groups planning to take ownership of an existing pub which has either recently been closed or ceased trading, and be able to demonstrate that the pub is for sale. To find out more, please visit www.plunkett.co.uk/more-than-a-pub or call the programme helpline on 01993 810730. If you meet the eligibility criteria for More than a Pub, we recommend you develop your proposal with MTAP first, before considering an application to the Booster Programme.
We believe in being truly inclusive and treating everyone with respect. We seek to be a genuinely inclusive organisation by advancing equity and diversity through our policies and practices.
